The money was raised through a Fund A Need “auction” held during the
Club’s third annual Burgers, Brews and Comedy (BBC3) on September 21
st at the Jonas Center on the Indian Valley Campus of the College of Marin. Several
hundred people attended the fund raising event which also raised $27,000 for
Rotary sponsored local and international service projects.
“ We knew that since the pandemic, the City’s low income youth
assistance program has been cut back, so this was an opportunity for our Club
to replace some of the lost funding for the program.” Jennifer Goldfinger, Vice
Chair of the BBC3 Committee said.
Through a combination of grants and donations from Rotary
International, Rotary District 5150, and the Rotary Club of Ignacio Foundation,
the Rotary Club of Ignacio is providing more than $130,000 to support local and
international community service projects during its Rotary year July 1,
2024-June 30, 2025. To follow the Club’s projects and their progress, check out

“We are thrilled to provide a record number of grants to local and
international projects this year.” Rotary Club of Ignacio President Ivar Olsen
said. “There are so many of us who want to give back to our community and help
others. Rotary is a great way to see our team efforts make a difference.”
