Club member Sandeep Karkal, General Manager and Chief Engineer of the Novato Sanitary District, provided the club with a macroscopic view of the availability of clean water--timed appropriately in concert with Rotary International's Water, Sanitation and Health (WASH) month. He then explained the work of the NSD to purify recycled water to stringent health standards. Last year, they delivered over 200 million gallons to North Marin Water District--thereby saving up to 20 years of potable water. Very interesting and important work.
