History of Marin and Novato
Sep 22, 2022 12:30 PM
I am a native Californian with a great interest in the history of Marin County where I have lived since 1985. My first book, Moments in Marin History: Familiar Tales and Untold Stories was published on July 25, 2022 by Fonthill Press. I worked as both a history teacher and Library Director in Marin County Schools for over 25 years earning my Bachelor's degree from U.C. Berkeley and advanced degrees from San Francisco and San Jose State universities. Working as a volunteer for the Marin History Museum, I have written over 140 “History Watch” columns that have appeared in the Marin Independent Journal newspaper |

Dec 06, 2022 9:00 AM - Dec 08, 2022 12:00 PM
Tuesday December 6th and Thursday December 8th - (9:00AM-12:00PM)
Please join us in planting milkweed to attract the monarch butterflies. We'll be planting in the meadow at the entrance of Pacheco Valle in Novato, just south of the intersection of Alameda del Prado and Nave Drive.
This is a joint project of the Rotary of Ignacio and the Marin County Parks. There is a 4000 square foot area that has been previously prepped, and the recent rain should make for ideal planting conditions.
Any questions? Please contact Jay Dicker - jay.dicker@gmail.com or Greg Tull - Greg@meritasadvisors.com
