OIN US to celebrate the first anniversary of the incorporation of the Rotary District 5150 Mental Health Rotarian Action Group on July 15th, 6pm. This will be an opportunity to celebrate the successes of the past year and create new goals for the future in our District. The celebration will include dinner at a location to be determined based on the number of people who register. The cost will be the dinner expense which will be determined as we get closer. Open to any Rotarian in District 5150.

Rotary District 5150 has sponsored three successful fundraiser river cruises for The Rotary Foundation (TRF) since 2017. We have sailed the scenic rivers through France, Germany, Austria, and Hungary. Contributions from these fundraiser cruises resulted in donations of nearly $250,000 to The Rotary Foundation, most of which was donated to eradicate Polio.
We are excited to announce our 2024 TRF Fundraising Cruise to support PolioPlus! Please join us as we enjoy a fabulous 7-night cruise on AmaWaterways through Holland and Belgium. Our cruise begins and ends in the amazing city of Amsterdam. We are especially thrilled to let you know that AmaWaterways has reserved the entire ship for our Rotary Foundation Cruise!

Supervising Attorney with the Law office of Helen Lawrence Laura Jones graduated from UCLA School of Law, specializing in the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy as well as Critical Race Studies. At UCLA, Laura participated in the Immigrants’ Rights Policy Clinic and was a law clerk with the Dilley Pro Bono Project, working with women and children detained in the family detention center. Laura also served as a publications editing assistant for the Immigrant Legal Resource Center and was a Discourse Editor for UCLA Law Review. Prior to law school, Laura was a fourth-grade transitional bilingual teacher in Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Scripps College, where she majored in sociology and legal studies. Laura is dedicated to social justice and immigrants’ rights and feels privileged to work with inspiring clients every day. |
