Rotary Club of Ignacio Foundation

 

The Mission of the Foundation

 

To raise funds from events and accept receipt of charitable contributions from Rotary members as well as the general public for the purpose of the annual support of:

 

1) local student scholarships,
2) local charitable agencies serving those in need,
3) other deserving civic or charitable projects within the community, and
4) limited non-local Rotary projects.


It is the specific intent that funds be accumulated to provide for continued support for such annual programs. In the discretion of the Board of the Foundation an annuity may be accumulated to fund these programs and/or funds may be accumulated to provide for a capital program in support of such programs.

 

MONTE CARLO NIGHT:  This has been the primary annual fund raising event of the Foundation and has supported all of its activities for 27 years. The event will be on "hiatus" this year in order to explore other fund raising opportunities. Club members will make individual contributions to the Foundation in order to continue funding the most popular programs.    


SPECIAL CONTRIBUTOR REQUESTS:  The Foundation also accepts the responsibility of administering contributions for which the benefactor has a specific request as to the disposition of the funds.  However, the benefactor’s wishes must coincide with the Mission of the Foundation.  An example of such a Special Contributor Request is the Wulbern Scholarship Fund .

 

FOUNDATION BOARD of DIRECTORS:  The following members of the Rotary Club of Ignacio act as the current directors.  Melissa Rinck (President), Gary Butler (Treasurer), Don Cliver (Secretary), and Directors Greg Call, Charles Swenson, Pualine Stuber and Rich Ronsheimer.   Each director serves for three years and may not be re-elected for two years after having completed a term as director.
